Please provide the following information when reporting a street light outage: If your street light is located within County’s jurisdiction, report non-functioning or blinking street lights to Public Works at 92 or Public Works, Special Districts Section at 92, email Special Districts or download the Mobile Citizen app to your mobile device. Therefore, new or additional street lights cannot be installed per the request of residents unless it is deemed necessary and the properties are annexed into CSA L-100 or CFD 2010-1. These assessment fees help with administration, operation and maintenance costs of existing street lights. Residents whose address is currently within County’s CSA L-100 or CFD 2010-1 boundary pay assessment fees, which appear on their property tax bill. CSA L-100 and CFD 2010-1 are administered by the Special Districts section at Public Works. Public Works works with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and the 19 City offices within Contra Costa County (County) to determine which agency is responsible for repairing street lights within and outside the County's Lighting Districts. Contra Costa County Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining street lights within County Service Area (CSA) L-100 and County Facilities District (CFD) 2010-1.
